Apple Smugness
14Dec07
I didn’t know this until I read this post on Lifehacker, but check out the icon OS X Leopard shows for PCs running Windows that you may be browsing from your Mac:

Now if that’s not being a little smug, especially when your own OS isn’t perfect, then I don’t know what is. If you don’t like it, you can change it.

Even if Leopard is not perfect, it’s still a whole lot better than Vista. Apple is known for the smugness: it’s what makes them quirky. In reality the Blue Screen of Death is hardly uncommon amongst Windows users and lets be honest, the free marketing this little icon has created is worth it being smug.
I couldn’t agree more. I just didn’t realise how smug Apple were about this kind of thing. I’ve known Sun to take these kind of digs at MS, but not anyone else. I like it.
